PRESS RELEASE: PBA of New York State Makes Final 2024 Endorsements

Albany, NY (October 15, 2024) – The PBA of New York State, the union representing 1,100 New York State law enforcement officers, today announced its final endorsements for the 2024 New York State Assembly and State Senate races.

PBA of New York State president, James McCartney, said, “The Police Benevolent Association of New York State and its members are pleased to offer our endorsement to the following candidates. These individuals have demonstrated their continued commitment to organized labor, public safety, environmental and natural resource protection, and educational excellence based on the free expression of all beliefs in secure and supportive campus communities.”

In the Senate, the PBA of New York State endorses:

· Senator Dan Stec (SD 45), Glens Falls

· Senator Steven Rhoads (SD 5), Levittown

· Senator Iwen Chu (SD 17), Brooklyn

· Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy (AD 109), running for Senate District 46

In the Assembly, the PBA of New York State endorses:

· Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages (AD 22), Valley Stream

· Former Assemblywoman Judy Griffin, running for AD 21
