The development of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus is certainly one of the best things to happen to Buffalo and Western New York this century. In a city that has been suffering from decline for many decades, this sprawling consortium of health care entities, research facilities and medical education institutions will deliver world-class health care and cutting-edge education and research, and will be an economic driver for the entire region.

Forest Rangers Honored by the Governor Following Downed-Aircraft Rescue

On February 21, 2013, nine members of the Police Benevolent Association of New York working for the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Forest Rangers saved the lives of three New Jersey men whose small, single-engine plane crashed in the Adirondack Mountains. This heroic effort was honored by Governor Andrew Cuomo and DEC Commissioner Joe Martens at an event held at the Capitol on February 27, 2013.
