Request For Assistance For A Yorktown Police Officer

Monday, November 07, 2016

Our friends at the Yorktown PBA contacted us and asked for help with one of their officers who is ill. Officer Lauren Raczynsky, is battling stage 4 endometriosis as well as Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia.

Officer Raczynsky has had three surgeries and a fourth is not too far in the future. This year alone, she has spent more than 20,000 dollars out of pocket. Unfortunately, Lauren will be unable to return to work as a Yorktown police officer. Despite being a five year veteran, she will be ineligible to obtain a pension after her resignation. Post resignation, her next option is applying for disability services. The extensive medical bills and loss of income is devastating to Lauren and her husband. If you would like to help Officer Raczynsky in her time of need, all donations will help with her current and future medical bills, as well as loss of income after resignation. The Yorktown PBA has started a 10-13 go fund me page, which can be accessed here: https://www.gofundme.com/1013-po-lauren-raczynsky
